RED BEETLE EVENTS PRODUCED AN IMMEDIATE DIRECT RESPONSE WITH THEIR OUTSTANDING ‘BABY SHOWER ROAD SHOW’ FOR BAUER CONSUMER MEDIA.
We have just produced a fantastic Road Show for Bauer Consumer Media’s Pregnancy & Birth magazine and not only was the Road show a huge success on the day, P&B magazine had a direct response the following day with booked new business. Great to have a tangible result so quickly!
Bauer had asked us to create an event to build the Pregnancy & Birth brand, within the top Ad agencies in London. P&B were keen to ensure all the key account managers were aware of their title and ensure any future business came their way.
The trick for Red Beetle was that a parenting title isn’t particularly sexy for a 25 year Ad exec with little or no involvement with babies. So we turned it around, made it quirky, contemporary and relevant to their age group and took it right into their own workplace using their in-house bars and restaurants, therefore eliminating the difficulty of capturing our audience and creating a fun set of activities that embraced the age group, both men and women, all the while building the P&B brand.
The success was phenomenal. We were swamped with participants and the games delivered the right degree of relevance while encouraging competitiveness and humour.
The proof was in the resulting booked business and the comments and buzz within the agencies. Participation levels were so high additional prizes had to be introduced.
Bauer Consumer Media commented: ‘The concept needed to be carefully tailored to the expected participant in order to capture their imagination carefully, while allowing the P&B brand to take the main stage, and Red Beetle managed this fantastically. The booked business proves the decision was correct. I’ve never seen so many young men queuing up to change a nappy in a faster time than their peers… new men indeed!’
